Steve Winwood

1. Stephen Lawrence "Steve" Winwood (born 12 May 1948.
2. Beginning in 1958, SW and Muff got first performing experience sitting in with Dad’s band at weddings and other performances featuring local bands
3. He sings with a tenor voice and a
multi-instrumentalist who plays Hammond organ, guitar, bass, and other string instruments
4. He was a member of the bands the Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith, and Go.
5. He has won multiple Grammy Awards.
6. He played one of the most famous keyboard intro in the song “Gimmie some lovin.”
7. He was seventeen when he joined the Spencer Davis group.
8. Steve Winwood sits on NYC studio sessions with Jimi Hendrix and appears on Jimi Hendrix: Electric Ladyland released in November 1968.
9. Steve Winwood performs first-ever solo gig at Rough Hill in the Cotswolds.
10. Steve performs with Eric Clapton at Madison Square Garden. [2008-02-25] Mr.Paulus was there.

If Steve Winwood died today he would be remember as a multi-instrumentalist. He would be the one person that Mr.Paulus never forgets. The majority of the songs that Steve wrote had images of alliteration and irony. Another interesting fact, in addition to being a multi-instrumentalist, he lead many bands including Spencer Davis Group, Blind Faith and Traffic. These bands are very important to music history.
